Posted on February 1, 2004, at 4:54am MT

The Norvarg virus is a Category 4 mass-mailing worm released on January 26, 2004. You may have received this virus in your email from "", "", or from anther email address bearing the "" domain. This virus was NOT sent from our systems!

We have done a full local network scan and have found that all our systems are virus free. This virus "spoofs" the From Address in the infected email to make it look like it was sent from or another domain. (i.e. "", "", etc.) All of our systems run a constantly updated copy of the latest Norton Antivirus.

Please immediately delete ANY emails you receive from bearing any of the following subjects...

  • test
  • hi
  • hello
  • Mail Delivery System
  • Mail Transaction Failed
  • Server Report
  • Status
  • Error

We implore everyone to visit Symantec Antivirus Research Center's W32.Novarg.A@mm Page. This page will tell you tons more information on what the virus is, what is does, and how to get rid of it.

Also, you can be sure you are receiving a legitimate email from when you see the signature we append to the bottom of every email. We will never ask you for any passwords or strict personal information of any sort (i.e. social security number). If you have any doubt about an email sent to you from us, do not respond. Instead, contact us directly at "" with an inquiry.

Stay safe everyone!!
